But when a place like Gerald's leaves a Gerald's-shaped hole in an iconic spot – to move up the street and down the block – something special needs to happen in its place. For A+'s June feature, the Right Angle creative team visited Audrey Shaw and co at Bar Carnation, the new Melbourne bar and bistro making better-than-good use of 386 Rathdowne Street, Carlton.
