Meet the EDDY class of 2022/23, a new cultural collective that includes: Shoebox sneaker laundry services; local florists Dust Flowers; Picnic by Condimental; live music and tapas on the outdoor plaza by Bears; locally-made furniture and lighting by Australian Design & Co; fruit candles by Nonna’s Grocer; a Shade Files Eyewear sunglass boutique; Planet Trip Records’ new recording studio; digital dispatches by Nomad Radio; and City Oltra, purveyors of pizza and Poor Toms gin.

The EDDY Multi-Space, Right Angle’s own creative events venue, will continue to play host to exhibitions, screenings, product launches, talks, activations and more. EDDY will also be the home of SHADES, a new venue for Golden Age Cinema & Bar with the MO ‘wine bar out front, party out back’. Think: disco-inspired cocktails in a warehouse setting, where you can catch a roster of resident DJs, special guests and experimental cinema screenings. SHADES is opening mid-December.

After more than a year in the making, on November 24 we’re cutting the ribbon with an all-day showcase where each tenant gets involved. There’ll be giveaways, opening day discounts, demonstrations and food, drink and music. Whether you’re passing by on your afternoon commute or crossing town just to get involved, we’re pleased to welcome you to see how this city-shaping project has taken shape.
