Wyndham is one of Australia's fastest growing municipalities, encompassing a great swathe of opportunity of Greater Melbourne's western fringe. It contributes $16.6B to Victoria's GSP, up 78.4% since 2013 (compared to the Victorian average of 31%) so Economic Development is very much on their radar.

This year, Right Angle have been helping the City with updating their Economic Development Strategy 2022–2026 and providing some global benchmarks that look at cities around the world with a similar scale, product and trajectory.

Among the nerdy stuff, Barrie was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the City's flagship annual business event, WYNnovation, which was this month awarded the 2024 National Economic Development Award for Excellence in Strategic Thinking,. On the same night, much of the thinking encapsulated in the Economic Development Strategy was recognised as a finalist for Economic Development Initiatives (Regions Over 15,000 Residents) for the Innovate Business Growth Program.
