How can a big brand think small?
COS is a remarkable brand that has been able to grow while remaining understated.
For their Sydney launch campaign in 2015, they asked us to produce a printed booklet that celebrated the lesser-known things in each city. Right Angle asked six people working across the creative industries to share a story about where they go to find calm and inspiration. Contributors included paper artist Benja Harney, furniture designer Henry Wilson and musician Ela Stiles, among others.
The booklet also included a still life photo essay by local photographer, James Tolich, who identified a combination of man-made and natural backdrops from local rock formations and ocean baths.
The result is a modest and thoughtful campaign that reflects the brand’s understanding of Sydney as a city of contrasts and elemental beauty.
